Research and planning: Word software Flat plan of front cover
I created a flat plan on word software. This is my front cover. Using terminology and coverlines associated with college topics, I have created a mock up of a college magazine front cover. This was considering the results from my video log questionnaire. Considering my intended target audience, I have adhered to the request of the masthead title. I have also considered the coverlines which would make my audience want to read my magazine. The main image also concerns a topic that would interest most students. I used the colors pink, black and yellow because they synergise to the Hyde Clarendon colors. This will enforce an original house style, towards my magazine. What would also enforce the house style is the 3 typography used. This will need to be consistent through out the magazine contents. The strapline suggests that this magazine is a "special edition," so that's why I used contemporary coverlines that is currently occurring e.g the ALS bucket challenge.
