Research and planning: CD front cover

I first started making this CD cover by inserting the CD image. This meant that I needed to change the lasso tool into the eclipses tool. By doing so, I was able to highlight the appropriate area. The CD was highlighted and the CD away from the background. Then I dragged the CD case onto my other Photoshop document labeled background. Now I wanted to transform the CD case so I could minimize the size of the image. This allowed me to decide where the CD could be conveniently placed. The color looked bland so I clicked on image and then picked the drop down option labeled adjustments. What I needed was the color option so I scanned and then made the adjustment color; by using the given spectrum.I decided on purple because it connotates to royalty and that has some connotations to the timeless Jazz music. The next thing was to implant the musical instrument into the background. Using the magic wand tool, I highlighted the background and then inverse it so that the right section was draggable. Once implanted, I had to make the musical notes visible. The layer system has a box where you have the function to hide and object or make it visible. This is why the eye function gave me the notes. Then I transformed the notes and rotated. I wanted them to blow out of the musical instrument for  authentic style. To style the background, I filtered it so that the notes looked wavered. Creating a new layer, I named it text because the layer would be for text. I changed the typography and the color so that it would be more bold and presentable.
